What you’ll find here

Our dated Connections guides explain all four groups and the reason each word belongs. Word pages add definitions, pronunciation, and word history. Our game guides distinguish word-grouping puzzles from other formats, including basketball grids.

How we check an explanation

We cross-check puzzle answers against accessible published sources and link those sources at the end of each guide. We use dictionaries and relevant primary sources for word meanings and game rules. We distinguish a published answer from a puzzle we have personally played; a source check is not a gameplay test.

Explanations are written for the specific group and word. A shared page layout does not replace original explanation. When a group cannot be confirmed, we label that edition incomplete and keep it out of the answer sitemap until it is checked.

Dates and corrections

A puzzle’s date identifies its edition. Publication and update dates describe our page. We do not refresh an update date merely because a day has passed. The daily hub links to the newest available edition and keeps its date visible.

If you spot an incorrect definition, answer, or attribution, contact us with the page URL and a source. We review corrections and update the relevant page when the evidence supports a change.
